Story
With our co-founders living in Panama, we’re able to sample some truly unique coffees. But with this coffee country being so small, production is very limited. Many farms produce micro lots of only 25-50 lbs of coffee that consistently blow us away. This happens across a number of other coffee-producing regions, and we never want to have to miss out on the gems that are out there.

So, we created this rare coffee subscription to find a way to get those coffees to you. Whether we have to ride into an indigenous reservation on horseback or just walk out of our backyard to a neighboring coffee farm, we think it’s important to seek these coffees out and share their stories with you.

Brewing Fundamentals

Brewing ratio
For hot coffee, a good starting point is 1 part coffee to 15 parts water. For cold brew, we recommend 1 part coffee to 13 parts water.

Grind size
Ideally, grind just before brewing. Grind size will vary based on a number of factors, including brewing method. As a start, grind to the size of table salt. Tastes weak? Grind finer. Tastes bitter? Grind coarser.

Brewing water
Ideally, use quality filtered or spring water for brewing. Water temperature at 200℉ is a good starting point. Tastes weak? Increase temperature. Tastes bitter? Reduce temperature

How it works

  • For monthly subscribers

    You will be charged each month on the date you signed up for the subscription. For example, if you sign up on January 2nd, you will be charged on February 2nd, March 2nd, and so on.

  • For annual subscribers

    You will be charged on the date you signed up for the subscription and will receive one coffee per month for 12 months. Your subscription will renew one year from the date you signed up.

  • Expected Shipping Time

    Coffee will be shipped from Stowe, VT, 1-3 business days after your recurring subscription order and/or payment are processed.
